Ilan Blumberg, B.Arch. - Director

As director of SBK, Ilan is passionate about creating better housing outcomes for Aotearoa, with a focus on quality, functionality, and enduring design.

Ilan completed his Architecture degree in 2002 and has worked across a diverse range of design disciplines.

Ilan lives with his family in the beautiful Waitakere Ranges.  

He has extensive experience in residential, commercial, and public architecture. His work as a set-designer on large-scale US screen productions adds to his skill set.

He also designs modular kits for campervan conversions and custom shelving solutions. 

This varied experience gives Ilan a deep understanding of the design and construction process, from concept development through to fabrication, regulatory compliance and resource consent applications.
